Rev Dr Michael O'Sullivan SJ

Rev Dr Michael O’Sullivan SJ is a Jesuit Priest, Director of SpIRE, and Research Fellow at the University of the Free State, South Africa. He has degrees in Social Science and Philosophy, and four degrees in theology up to PhD level. He has training and experience in spiritual accompaniment, counselling, and community development and worked as a Jesuit missionary priest in Chile during the reign of General Pinochet. He is a leading figure in the academic field of Christian Spirituality and is respected for his knowledge and depth of commitment to academic work that makes a positive difference in the lives of people – especially the poor and marginalized.
